Our Watches

Members of the Pinchbeck family were famous watch and clock makers in 18th Century London. Christopher Pinchbeck 1 (1670-1732) invented the alloy that bears his name. His eldest son, also called Christopher (1710-1783) became watch and clock maker by appointment to King George 3rd, and among his timepieces is the great astronomical clock made for the King, now in Buckingham Palace.
